The 9th Annual Florida Keys Seafood Festival was held on Saturday & Sunday, January 18th & 19th at Bayview Park. The weather was beautiful and no one could of have asked for a better weekend for the annual event celebrating what we do best, enjoying great seafood.
The annual festival is put on by the Florida Keys Commercial Fishemen’s Association.
A truely local event celebrating the bounty of seafood that comes from our local waters harvested by our hardworking local fishermen.
As usual there was plenty of local seafood to be enjoyed. The menu consisted of grilled lobster, fried fish, fresh stone crab claws, Key West shrimp, conch fritters, conch chowder, and conch salad.
Live music keep everyone entertained while shrimp were peeled and stone crabs were being cracked. Marine life exhibits were on hand to teach people about our the importance of caring for our local waters and kids fun zone so nobody was left out on the fun.
