Island Grill Crostini

Crostini-meaning “little toast” in Italian.

Said to have originated in medieval times when it was typical for Italian peasants to eat their meals on slices of bread instead of using ceramics.

I love crostini, what’s not to love with small bite size perfectly toasted on one side still soft on the other, and crunchy on the edges. And you can get like 20 of them from a single baguette or a ciabatta loaf.

One night it was decided to sprinkle some Key West Spice Company® Island Grill on these little slices of heaven right before toasting them under the broiler.
Even before they got out of the oven, you knew something good was about to happen.
The smoky sweet peppery flavor of the Key West Spice Company’s Island Grill on a toasted slice of baguette played extremely well together.
Feel free to top them with what ever you feel like.
