Southernmost Peel and Eat Shrimp
Ingredients
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup white vinegar
- 4 tablespoons Key West Spice Company Southernmost Blend (divided)
- 1 pound fresh large shrimp (shells on)
Instructions
- In a saucepan over high heat, bring the water, vinegar, and 3 tablespoons of Southernmost Blend to a boil.
- Add the shrimp and stir well.
- Reduce heat to medium, cover, and steam for 3–4 minutes, stirring once or twice, until shrimp turn bright orange.
- Drain and transfer shrimp to a bowl of ice water for a few minutes to stop the cooking process.
- Remove shrimp from the ice bath and sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of Southernmost Blend for extra flavor.
