Mountain Ribs and Cabin Tour

In today’s video, Donna prepares a rack of ribs by generously seasoning both sides with Key West Spice Company’s Captain’s Blend spice before slow-cooking them in the oven. Since we don’t have a smoker available during this stop on our summer tour, this is one of our favorite ways to build flavor before finishing the ribs on the grill. Once they’re perfectly tender, Donna coats both sides with our Dockside Caribbean Rum BBQ Sauce, and Greg takes them outside to finish on a classic park-style charcoal grill, giving them that delicious smoky finish. While the ribs are cooking, we’re also sharing a tour of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain cabin where we’re staying and a glimpse of the peaceful mountain scenery that has made this stop on our journey so memorable. Would you rather cook your ribs low and slow on a smoker or finish them over charcoal like we did? Let us know in the comments below!

If you enjoyed the cabin tour or are curious about the places featured in today’s video, be sure to check out the mountain cabin Simply Serene and the local kayak rental Zaloo’s Canoes, Greg mentions during the tour.
