Key West Spice Company
Boursin Style Cheese
8 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup good-quality unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon Key West Spice Company Captain’s Blend Seasoning
Or
2 Teaspoons Key West Spice Company Southernmost Seasoning
¼ teaspoon Lemon Juice
Stand mixer or hand mixer
Plastic wrap
Cup or plastic container for storing and shaping
Whip the butter and cream cheese with a stand mixer or hand mixer fitted with a whip attachment for 1-2 minutes, add lemon juice and mix for another minute.
Add Key West Spice Company seasoning of your choice, mix for another minute or so, until the mixture is well-combined. Taste and add more seasoning if needed. Remember spices will taste more pronounced after resting for several hours.
Line a 1 cup measuring cup with plastic wrap. Using a rubber spatula, spoon the cheese mixture into the measuring cup, making sure to pack tight so there are no gaps. Level off the top so it’s flat. Wrap the top of the measuring cup with the sides of the plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours, or overnight until the cheese is solid and the flavors are melded. Before serving remove the plastic wrap and place it on a platter flat-side down. Serve with warm bread, crackers, or vegetables
